About this game
Sudoku is the classic number-placement puzzle. Fill the 9×9 grid so that every row, every column and every 3×3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 exactly once. Every puzzle here is generated fresh and has exactly one solution, so you never need to guess. Pick Easy, Medium or Hard, or try the daily puzzle that is the same for everyone.
How to play
- Choose a puzzle: Easy, Medium, Hard, or today's daily puzzle.
- Select an empty square, then tap a number to place it. On a computer you can also type 1 to 9.
- Each digit 1 to 9 must appear once in every row, every column and every 3×3 box.
- Turn on Notes to pencil in small candidate numbers, and Erase to remove a number.
- You can make two mistakes. The third one ends the puzzle. Solve it faster with fewer mistakes for a higher score.

Tips
- Start by scanning for a digit that already appears many times and see where it can still go.
- Look for a row, column or box with only one empty square. That square is a free answer.
- Use Notes when a square has two or three possible digits, then eliminate as you place others.
- Tap a number on the board to highlight every copy of it and spot where it is missing.
- If you feel stuck, switch to another part of the grid. A new digit there often unlocks the rest.

Do I ever have to guess?
No. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and can be solved with logic alone.
What is the daily puzzle?
It is a Medium puzzle that is the same for everyone on the same calendar day. A new one appears at midnight on your device's clock.
What happens if I enter a wrong number?
The game checks each number against the solution. A wrong number is not placed and counts as a mistake. After three mistakes the puzzle ends.
Is my progress saved?
Your best score is saved on your device, in your browser. An unfinished puzzle is not saved if you leave the page.
