About this game
Mine Grid is a classic logic puzzle about finding hidden mines using number clues. Reveal squares one at a time. Each number tells you how many mines touch that square, including diagonally. Use the clues to work out where the mines are, flag them, and clear every safe square to win. Your first click is always safe.
How to play
- Choose Easy, Medium or Hard, then tap any square to start. Your first click is always safe.
- A number shows how many of the eight neighbouring squares contain a mine.
- Long-press, right-click or switch on flag mode to mark a square you think is a mine.
- Tap a revealed number that has the right number of flags around it to reveal the rest of its neighbours.
- Reveal every square that is not a mine to win. Hitting a mine ends the game.

Tips
- If a number equals the count of hidden squares around it, all of those squares are mines.
- If a number already has all its mines flagged, every other neighbour is safe.
- Start from the corners and edges, where there are fewer neighbours to think about.
- Compare two neighbouring numbers. The difference between them often reveals a safe square.
- Only flag when you are sure. A wrong flag can send you in the wrong direction.
FAQ
Is Mine Grid free?
Yes. Mine Grid is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Is my first click really safe?

How do I place a flag on a phone?
Press and hold a square, or tap the flag mode button and then tap squares to flag them.
How is the score calculated?
You score a point for each safe square you reveal. If you clear the whole board, you also get a time bonus that is bigger on harder sizes.
Is my best score saved?
